WE ARE THE RUSHIANS
The RUSHians formed in 2016 and are since the only Dutch Tribute band for the legendary Canadian progrock band Rush. The band consists of four experienced musicians who love to share their passion for the music of Rush. The band is able to play the entire repertoire of the Canadian power trio, so the setlist can be optimally tuned to any theme or event. The philosophy of the RUSHians is to approach the live sound and energy of Rush as close as possible, so the audience has a genuine Rush live experience.
Rush do have a legendary status. They were a Canadian progrock band that toured North America and Europe since the seventies almost every year. From 1979 onwards the Netherlands were regularly visited. The band has attracted a large and loyal crowd of fans all over the world, not because of regular airplay but mainly because of the high-quality album productions (20!) and performances (> 2.000!). Many rock musicians are inspired by this band because of the great musical quality of all of their output. The fans are therefore among the most loyal fans but are also critical listeners. After a career of 48 years (they started in 1968) the band called it quits. And since Rush drummer Neil Pearts tragic death in 2020 it's clear there will be no shows by the surviving members under the moniker Rush ever again.
We believe it's our musical task to keep Rush alive on stage.
